**PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST, CELL BIOLOGY**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Oversee the design and execution of elaborate experiments for major research projects, demonstrating resourcefulness in running multiple activities concurrently to achieve objectives;
- Suggest new innovative approaches and research propositions to address research goals;
- Supervise a group of Biologists on several client projects and communicate effectively goals and objectives to the different groups;
- Provide the scientific leadership to the group of Scientists working on his/her projects;
- Maintain excellent documentation for lab books; write study reports and make client presentations; communicate results to the team and clients on a regular basis;
- Collaborate with other team members and cross-functionally to meet project timelines and targets;
- Direct communication with clients on a regular basis ;
- Inspire creative thinking and problem solving in their project teams.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- PhD in Biological Sciences or MSc with at least 12+ years of experience in pharma/biotech/CRO and management experience;
- Strong biology & drug discovery background with a proven track record gained through multiple years’ experience in pharma/biotech/CRO
- Expert in cell biology techniques and capable of leading by example in the laboratory in design and conducting biological assays/techniques;
- Experience with automation using robotic liquid handlers ;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work well within multi-disciplinary teams across organizations;
- Should be able to train and supervise staff members;
- Possess strong problem-solving skills for developing creative, innovative solutions, and meeting project objectives;
- Ability to communicate progress effectively with the team (French and English).

- Communiquer régulièrement avec les clients;
- Favoriser la réflexion créative et la résolution de problèmes au sein de ses équipes de projet.

**EXIGENCES**:

- Doctorat en sciences biologiques (Ph.D.) avec plusieurs années d’expérience ou maîtrise (M.Sc.) avec au moins 12+ ans d'expérience en pharmacie/biotechnologie/ORC et expérience en gestion.
- Solide expérience en biologie et en découverte de médicaments, avec un bilan prouvé acquis grâce à plusieurs années d'expérience en pharmacie/biotechnologie/ORC;
- Expert des techniques de biologie cellulaire et capable de montrer l'exemple en concevant et en réalisant des tests/techniques biologiques;
- Expérience en l'automatisation avec des manipulateurs de liquides robotisés;
- Excellentes compétences en communication verbale et écrite, ainsi que la capacité à travailler efficacement au sein d'équipes multidisciplinaires et d'organisations différentes;
- Capacité à former et à superviser des membres du personnel;
- Fortes compétences en résolution de problèmes pour développer des solutions créatives et innovantes et atteindre les objectifs du projet;
- Capacité à communiquer efficacement avec l'équipe (français et anglais).
