**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop and perform in-vitro cell-based assays for compound screening and mechanism action studies;
- Maintain mammalian cell culture according to the project need;
- Design, plan and execute experiments under supervision;
- Perform data analysis ;
- Trouble shooting under supervision;
- Maintain excellent documentation for lab books; write study reports and make presentations and; communicate results to the team and clients if needed;
- Share responsibilities with other team member to support daily lab operations of Cell Biology Group;
- collaborate with other team members to meet project timelines and targets.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- PhD in Biological Sciences or MSc with at least 5 years of experience;
- Familiar with cell culture techniques;
- Experience with microplate assays, such as ELISA, reporter assay, cell proliferation assays;
- Experience with high-capacity cell-based assays using multichannel pipets;
- Knowledge in Cancer Cell Biology;
- Experience with DNA/RNA extraction, Western blot and PCR based analysis;
- Good level of autonomy at designing experiment and critical analysis of results;
- Familiar with Microsoft office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Graphpad Prism data analysis software;
- Should be able to perform literature searches and display a broad knowledge of common methods in Cell Biology;
- Should be able to prepare presentation, write study report and interact with the team;
- Good understanding of goals and objectives, timeframe of a contract research project;
- Ability to communicate progress effectively with the team (French and English);
- New employees will be required to provide proof of a complete COVID-19.

NuChem Sciences, un organisme de recherche contractuel offrant des services de découverte et de développement de médicaments est en plein expansion et recherche une personne pour combler un poste de Scientifique dans l’équipe de biologie cellulaire.

**RESPONSABILITÉS**:

- Développer et effectuer des essais cellulaires in vitro pour le criblage de composés et des études d’action de mécanisme;
- Maintenir la culture de cellules de mammifères selon le besoin du projet;
- Concevoir, planifier et exécuter des expériences sous supervision;
- Effectuer l’analyse des données;
- Dépannage sous supervision;
- Maintenir une excellente documentation pour les livres de laboratoire; rédiger des rapports d’étude et faire des présentations en communiquant les résultats à l’équipe et aux clients;
- Partager les responsabilités avec d’autres membres de l’équipe pour soutenir les opérations quotidiennes du laboratoire du groupe de biologie cellulaire;
- Collaborer avec les autres membres de l’équipe en respectant les échéanciers et objectifs du projet.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- PhD en sciences biologiques ou MSc avec au moins 5 ans d’expérience ;
- Expérience avec les tests sur microplaques (ELISA, test de rapporteur et prolifération cellulaire) ;
- Expérience avec des tests cellulaires utilisant des pipettes multicanaux ;
- Expérience avec l’extraction d’ADN / ARN, Western blot et analyse basée sur la PCR ;
- Connaissance en biologie cellulaire du cancer ;
- Bonne connaissance des outils Microsoft Office et le logiciel d’analyse de données Graphpad Prisme ;
- Capacité à rédiger des rapports d’étude et préparer des présentations ;
- Capacité à communiquer efficacement avec l’équipe (français et anglais) ;
- Bonne capacité d’adaptation et bon sens de l’analyse.
