The Role*
The Program Manager is accountable to the program sponsors for the schedule, budget, execution and quality of the program and its components, and is expected to:
- Create and execute the program plan and schedule, and continuously monitor for conformance to the program vision, objectives and schedule
- Establish the program governance process and execution strategy for the complete program of work in collaboration with the program sponsor
- Ensure the expected program benefits are realized throughout the program
- Provide oversight, coordination, and management of dependencies of the program components
- Communicate to the program sponsors and program governance and provide regular status updates
- Monitor and respond to decisions, issues, and risks at the program level
- Escalate issues, risks, and decisions to program sponsors and governance, as necessary
- Ensure proper allocation of resources across all workstreams
**Your Formal Qualifications**
- 10+ years of progressive experience managing technology-based projects and programs
- PMP certification or equivalent
- A portfolio of technology-based programs that you have a successfully delivered
**Your Proven Qualities**
- Demonstrable project and program management knowledge
- Strong leadership, negotiation and conflict management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams to deliver a shared vision
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- Deep understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile (Scrum) processes
- Experience working in a geographically distributed work environment with team members working in-office and remotely
**Extras You Might Offer As Tiebreakers**
- Familiar with Financial Industry, Wealth Management, Investments, FinTech or other financial related fields
- Experience working for a Wealth Management, FinTech or Enterprise software vendor
- Experience with SaaS-based solutions
**The Work Environment**
- Our location is downtown Toronto in a small office environment
- Work may be in-office, remote or hybrid, collaborating with other team members in-personal and digitally during regular business hours
- Some work outside of normal business hours may be required on occasion due to time-constrained activities or collaborating with remote teams
