Commercial Cleaning Services is seeking a **Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator **to join our team. We are passionate about keeping our employees safe and are committed to providing services that have the least possible impact on the natural environment.

**About the Position**

The Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinatorwill spend the majority of their time assisting our Health and Safety Department by providing administrative support and ensuring compliance with internal and external safety requirements. This position will provide further support to our Organizational Development Department by assisting with other duties as may be required from time to time. This position is based out of our Corporate Head Office located in St. Catharines, ON.

**Job Duties**
- Provide administrative support to the Health and Safety Director and the Health and Safety Department by organizing and maintaining health and safety records, drafting documents, letters and communications, and updating client-based safety portals
- Support Commercial Cleaning Services Health and Safety initiatives by ensuring compliance with company and client safety requirements, as well as government legislative regulations
- Coordinate the implementation of Commercial Cleaning Services’ sustainability program in accordance with corporate standards
- Assist in the evaluation and monitoring of health and safety hazards to control risks in the workplace
- Assess company performance against Environmental, Social and Governance KPIs by synthesizing and analyzing data
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents and support of the company’s Early and Safe Return to Work (ESRTW) program
- Participate in audits of health and safety performance and produce regular reports
- Coordinate Joint Health and Safety Committee and other Health and Safety functions at job sites
- Coordinate Health and Safety Trainings and manage documentation of completed trainings
- Provide advisory support to internal stakeholders on environmental best practices and procedures
- Post-secondary diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resource Management, or similar; in progress or close to completion
- JHSC Certification preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Interest in the Health, Safety and Environment field and ongoing effort to learn
- Ability to work independently and take ownership over work to meet commitments
- Strong attention to detail in all areas of work
- Time management skills; ability to multitask and meet changing priorities
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft suite; comfortable learning additional software
- Positive, friendly mindset and ability to collaborate with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
- G Class Driver’s Licence (preferred)

Commercial Cleaning Services recognizes that strength as an organization comes from inclusion and diversity. Pay: $45,000.00-$47,000.00 per year
