Simon Says Speech Inc. provides play-based and family-centered therapy to children and their families in Edmonton, Alberta and surrounding areas. Our newly renovated clinic, Alberta Therapy Co., offers a warm and inviting environment for our clients and staff. The speech language pathologists work alongside a team of vibrant psychologists, speech language pathologists and assistants, occupational therapists and assistants, physiotherapist, registered dietitian, and behavioural consultants to provide all of the support necessary for a family's growth and development. Our team consults with families, collaborates on goals and prioritizes building connections with the families we work with.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- We are looking for an SLP who is passionate about supporting children and their families through a friendly and energetic, play-based approach.
- A team member who has excellent communication skills, who has the ability to build strong rapport with families and their support team members.
- Eager to work collaboratively and able to provide clear communication with other members of the family’s team.
- Comfortable coaching families and support staff on new strategies to try at home, school or daycare.
- The ability to complete assessments and create functional and evidence based intervention plans for children and youth, presenting with speech sound, motor speech, fluency, social communication and voice disorders, along with complex communication needs (AAC).
- Sensitive to linguistic, cultural, social, economic, individual, and positional differences among staff, providers, and children/families served

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology (New graduates welcome)
- Licensed to practice under the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
- Valid professional liability insurance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Criminal record check and professional liability insurance.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Previous experience in screening, assessing and supporting clients, children, youth and families is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
