**Title**: Manager of Community Engagement and Volunteer Development and Administrative Support

**Reporting To**: Executive Director

**Location**: Cooksville-Mississauga, In-Person and Remote

**Desired Start Date: April 29, 2024**

**Position Type**:Full Time (40 hours/week) 18 week contract, with possibility of extension

**Key Tasks**

**Intro**:Develop a Strategic Plan for Heart Comonos Community Engagement in Cooksville, Recruit, Train Volunteers for Events/ Programs and Provide Administrative Support for the Staff Team.

**COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT**
- Implement a developing strategy for conducting community conversations and surveys to identify and create an asset map of gifts, skills, knowledge, passions, as well as needs and challenges of residents, organizations and local business owners in Cooksville-Mississauga, Ontario.
- Collaboratively Design, Implement, Evaluate Programs and Events with the Heart Comonos Team
- Engage with the Community, Local Residents, Organizations and Businesses
- Setup and teardown at Events and Weekly Programs

**VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT**
- Design and implement a strategy to recruit and train volunteers for specific events and programs out of the work done in community engagement
- Complete Volunteer Best Practices Handbook Manual
- Recruit and Coach teams of volunteers and leaders for each activity and project. On site volunteer management at Events/Programs

**ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT**
- Provide Administrative Support for staff and programs.
- Work closely and collaboratively with all staff, assist with Event Supply Purchases
- Attend meetings, workshops and other learning platforms (e.g., ) to learn community development best practices from other cities and practitioners
- Administrative tasks including: Create event site plans, Maintain event/meeting calendars, Create Documents, Review invoices, Maintain Mailchimp DataBase, Track Project Participation Statistics, Manage Surveys, Provide creative input/ideas for new projects, events and workshops.

- Able to Lift 20lb+ and physical capabilities including repetitive bending, pushing, twisting, pulling, lifting of supplies and equipment
- **Has a reliable vehicle and driver's license**:

- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.

**Education & Experience**:

- A university or college degree or diploma
- A minimum of 1 year work experience in a community development or volunteer management role, **OR** a combination of education and experience
