We at One Community Solutions provide a unique service which involves working with the vulnerable population. Our Patient Safety Ambassadors work side by side with client healthcare administration teams. They ensure that the patient experience in the healthcare setting is the best that it can be by offering a safe, warm and welcoming environment from the moment someone arrives at their location. This individual must be someone who is friendly and can assist with navigating patient transfers from in and out of vehicles.

**Essential Duties for this position are as follows;**Assisting patients and pedestrians in remaining safe on the driveway by showing them pedestrian routes and helping to direct them**Manages traffic flow on the driveway to ensure patient and pedestrian safety**Greet patients and caregivers warmly, helping to navigate any questions they might have when they arrive**Be empathetic towards others when communicating with them**Physically assist patients with transferring into and out of vehicles**Assist with mobility management with accessing the staxis as required**Direct patients to appropriate individuals/areas based on responses given in communications**Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff by reporting and documenting unsafe conditions and fill out any necessary documentation related to safety concerns as they arise**Assist with administrative tasks and other tasks as assigned**

**Qualifications for this position include;**Prior experience working in a customer service-oriented environment**Excellent verbal and written communication skills**Must have the ability to multitask**Must be able to handle daily mild to moderate physical exertion**Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills which includes, but isn’t limited to, conflict resolution, decision making, situational assessments and problem solving.**Behavioural management training is considered an asset**Valid certificate in Standard First Aid and CPR level ‘C’ are considered an asset**Knowledge of legislative policies such as the**_Criminal Code_**,**_Trespass to Property Act_** and**_WHMIS_** are considered an asset**Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays**
