Position Summary:
The Work Order Coordinator will have the primary responsibility for creating, printing & distributing work orders to meet Machine and Aftermarket production demand in our ERP system.

Reports To: Production Planning Manager

Essential Functions:
Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

- Coordinate the creation and distribution of work orders to the manufacturing floor
- Using Excel and our ERP System, schedule the release of production jobs
- Establish priority lists and resolve conflicts in priorities
- Monitoring key metrics to ensure manufacturing performance, maintenance of accurate inventory counts and the timely closure of work orders
- Prepare for, and participate in, daily production meetings
- Resolving daily problems, through analysis and troubleshooting of issues associated with the key metrics
- Define and follow-up action plans to improve lead-times and bottlenecks
- Participating and supporting continuous improvement activities and initiatives
- Other duties, as assigned

- Will interact effectively and regularly with:

- Hourly operations employees including Production Leaders
- Inside Sales departments
- Purchasing
- Logistics & Shipping

Education and/or Experience:

- Related post-secondary diploma in Supply Chain management
- 2-3 years of previous, related experience in an Inventory or Production role
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
- Previous experience using an ERP/MRP system is preferred

Language Skills:

- Strong written and verbal communications required. Ability to interact clearly and confidently with all levels in the organization.

Computer Skills:

- Proficient in ERP systems (knowledge with Visual Manufacturing an asset)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Intermediate to Advanced excel skills required

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

- Supply Chain certification (CPIM) an asset

Other Qualifications:

- Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate information
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem Solver - Demonstrated ability identifying problems, offering solutions and seeing corrective actions through to completion. - Technical Aptitude - Good working knowledge of planning BOM’s and an understanding of material planning in this environment. Good working knowledge of material planning functions and systems.
