**Part-Time**:3 days week (flexible days), 8 hours/day (9:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.), with a one-hour lunch break

**Position**

Habitat Edmonton is seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking professional for a **part-time Information Technology (IT) Support Technician **position. As an integral part of the Information Technology team, the IT Support Technician will be working with team members specializing in SMB networking infrastructure, business continuity, security, backup and recovery, remote monitoring, deskside support, and transformative digital solutions across local and cloud domains. The IT Support Technician will respond to requests for technical support, including troubleshooting, identifying and fixing system errors and other issues as related to computer systems, software and hardware.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Provide technical support to Habitat Edmonton employees from multiple departments and locations by installing, configuring, testing, and upgrading computer software and hardware.
- Reproduce, diagnose, and resolve technical problems encountered by users.
- Troubleshoot Desktop PC, Microsoft Servers, Internet issues and other software errors.
- Monitor performance of IT equipment and computer systems in the organisation.
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
- Assist computer users with the operation/repair of computer systems and other technological equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on IT equipment, including computers, printers, servers, and other peripherals.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain computer networks to ensure stable and secure connectivity.
- Implement security measures to protect systems and data against threats such as viruses, malware, and computer attacks.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and management of IT projects, such as the introduction of new systems or migration to new technologies.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in technology and IT support to recommend appropriate improvements and upgrades.
- Monitor and maintenance of security cameras as needed.
- Assist with ongoing moves, additions, and changes to desktop computers.
- Prioritise and escalate issues as needed.
- Consultation with IT manager and other departments as required.
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- **Technical**_
- Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft products, encompassing Windows Desktop environments, Microsoft 365, Azure Management.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networks, DNS, DHCP, network traffic and Windows network environments.
- Familiarity with web browsers, cookies, caching, and associated security considerations.
- Adeptness in troubleshooting mobile devices and their operating systems (iOS and Android).
- A certificate, diploma, or degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 is desirable.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean 3-year driver’s abstract.
- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds as required.
