**What can I expect to do in this role?**: In this role you will:
- Lead the development and establishment of policies and procedures governing the management of centrally-stored compliance data and related information to facilitate internal and external operational and compliance reporting and to ensure legislative and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and coordinate compliance data collection and analysis and prepare reports and presentations on OCWA's operational and compliance performance against established key performance indicators.
- Develop/manage relationships with business groups and project leads across the Agency to understand and identify internal and external client requirements for compliance systems development and maintenance.
- Monitor and analyze system performance including the identification, analysis and assessment of compliance system risks/issues and the development of solutions to mitigate potential system failures or non-compliance.
- Research and identify advancements and continual improvement opportunities to incorporate new technology, ensure consistency with regulatory changes, and address local client issues and challenges.
- Lead the design, development and delivery of training programs, manuals and materials across the province.
**How do I qualify?**:
**Knowledge and Skills**:
- Technical theories, principles, concepts and practices pertaining to water/wastewater treatment operations, maintenance and administration to lead the development and maintenance of compliance data management systems that ensures operational compliance and reliability of reports.
- Systems analysis, design, integration, testing and implementation principles, practices, methods and techniques.
- Operational and data management technology environments to lead the analysis of proposed compliance data management solutions and the ongoing management and performance monitoring of compliance systems.
- Change management principles and methodologies to plan, lead and manage compliance system development and operational projects to meet changing client business needs.
- Forensic technical methods, processes and procedures to investigate root causes of system failures, and perform risk assessments to mitigate future failures or non-compliance issues.
**Interpersonal, Communication and Analytical Skills**:
- Leadership skills to lead/coordinate project teams consisting of multi-disciplinary staff and/or external consultants, and to manage multiple projects with concurrent deliverables.
- Strategic thinking skills and quantitative/qualitative research, analytical and evaluation skills to determine data management solutions to meet client business needs, and to identify opportunities and utilize political acuity to impact and influence the organization.
- Research and analytical skills to research, evaluate and define project management requirements, identify options, develop plans and proposals, make recommendations, and coordinate and implement processes for diverse projects.
- Strong communication and consultation skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Ministry/OCWA management and staff, clients and other stakeholders.
- Strong presentation skills to lead/conduct training programs, and to provide technical expertise, briefings and recommendations to senior management.
- Excellent written communications skills to prepare reports and analyses, presentations, project proposals and plans, training manuals and briefing materials.
