North Vancouver, Canada Olive Grove West Childcare Full time

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our childcare team. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to all staff members/teachers at Olive Grove. This is permanent position beginning at 20 hours per week with onsite support required to our child care locations: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays commencing June 3rd 2024.

**Duties**:

- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and off boarding processes
- Administer and maintain HR systems as well as have knowledge of the Licensing Regulations and Community Care and Assisted Living Act
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Handle employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR-related issues
- Coordinate and conduct training sessions for employees on various HR topics
- Support Management with HR issues related to the clients of Olive Grove
- Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Guide Centre Managers in all related HR and Management functions such as (but not limited to): best practices, HR processes, coaching, training, record keeping, employment standards, etc.
- This is 100% on-site position, requiring interchanging between locations.

**Experience**:

- 2+ Years experience in an Upper Management or Human Resources role.
- Knowledge of BC Employment Standards Laws and Regulations.
- Strong knowledge of Licensing Regulations and Community Care and Assisted Living Act
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficient in google suite (Gmail, Google drive, spreadsheets)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent English written and speaking essential.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and calm.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Project management experience is a plus.

**Education**:

- Business Administration Certificate (or higher) with a focus on Human Resources.
- Early Childhood Educator Licence would be an asset.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
