**Salary**: $3,147.32 to $4,235.37 bi-weekly ($82,145 - $110,543/year)

Alberta Infrastructure designs, builds, manages and maintains government-owned and operated facilities, and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that schools, hospitals and government facilities infrastructure meet the needs of Alberta’s population. The Ministry also provides accommodation services and manages a large portfolio of owned and leased facilities while maintaining fiscal accountability and optimizing value for Albertans.

The Business Support Services (BSS) unit in the Asset Management branch oversees essential programs, information systems, processes, and services for tracking and managing the life cycle of assets within the Government of Alberta (GOA). With over 10,000 holdings valued at more than $20 billion, these assets include structures, space, and land distributed across the province, serving various entities like health facilities, post-secondary institutions, schools, social housing, non-government users (NGUs), not-for-profit organizations, agencies, boards, and commissions.

**Role Responsibilities**:
The Manager of Asset Administration leads a team that provides specialized expertise, services, and resources crucial to the Asset Management branch, Alberta Infrastructure, and client ministries. This role is responsible for managing administration of the Government of Alberta parking program and the structure, space, and land inventory program.

This involves ensuring accurate information for infrastructure and facility planning, accommodation management, asset life cycle management, and various functions like strategic planning, budgeting, and financial reporting.

The primary responsibilities of the Manager, Asset Administration include (but are not limited to):

- Manages the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational policies, practices, business processes, and standards for the Government of Alberta's structure, space, and land inventories.
- Engages stakeholders for comprehensive and accurate information.
- Collaborates within the department and with other departments to gather requirements and advocate for essential business needs, in upgrading and optimizing the inventory or parking systems to meet evolving business, departmental, client, and stakeholder needs.
- Providing advice on complex and precedent-setting issues related to the parking program.
- Facilitates the resolution of issues or conflicts within inventory or parking programs while maintaining positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensures inventory and parking systems are current, compliant, and efficient by planning and managing system data monitoring, reviews, reconciliations, and audits, addressing emerging issues through collaboration with stakeholders.Provides leadership, manages recruitment, coaching, learning and development, team workload, and performance management.
- Contribute to the BSS management team, providing input for strategy development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Responds to inquiries and action requests by providing well-written correspondence, including briefing notes and reports, to support senior management.

**Qualifications**:
**Required**:

- Post secondary degree in, business, public administration, or related field, supplemented by four years related experience. or a related field plus 4 years of related experience.

**Equivalency**:Directly related education or experience considered based on:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

**Assets**:

- Experience managing projects and project teams.
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of business process design, continuous improvement, and quality assurance methodologies
- Experience with managing inventory systems to ensure data integrity, accountability, and security
- Responds to inquiries and action requests by providing well-written correspondence, including briefing notes and reports, to support senior management.
