Description:
The eCommerce Merchandising Manager is accountable for the entire financial and merchandising performance for the assigned business portfolio. Primary mandate of this role is to deliver business growth through new user trials and conversion through merchandising management. The role is also accountable for product availability (In-Stocks) and replenishment, through both supply and demand planning with key suppliers and store operations. Key performance metrics include Order Volume and Frequency, AOV, GMV, GM, Item Availability, Working Capital, and Days-on-Hand.

**What's On Your Plate**:

- Formulate and execute merchandising strategy to achieve the P&L building blocks (OV, AOV, VCM, basket mix and Gross Margin)
- “Buy Right and Sell Right”. Own supplier relationships to “Buy Right” - understanding regional market differences, balance cost, MOQ, service levels, quality and freshness with an end-to-end mindset. “Sell Right” through curation of assortment, developing new customer use cases, sourcing new brands, and customer based pricing/promotion
- Owns all supplier engagement and negotiations to manage profitability, supplier performance (Fillrate, MOQ/DSD negotiations, and partnership opportunities
- Accountable for customer item availability overall, particularly focusing on the key volume items through actively balancing supplier service levels, alternative channel/sourcing, and/or alternative item replacements
- Partner with marketing, growth, and store operations to develop demand planning (and in turn supply planning) factoring in site capacity for all key promotional events
- Work closely with Store Operations to understand each fulfillment store capacity, throughput, DOH, as well as key categories to optimize DSD vs. owned distribution vs. 3PL and improve overall “flow” across the network
- Drive supplier performance for service levels (On-Time-In-Full) to drive in-stocks, and ensure availability of KVIs through rapid replenishment using secondary source and/or substitution products
- Execute continuous improvement strategies across merchandising/promo planning, logistics, and supplier/3PL community that drives availability, DOH performance, and Working Capital

**Recipe for Success**:

- 3-4 years experience in eCommerce Merchandising experience with P&L responsibility
- 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Replenishment in a Retail Environment (Grocery or Perishable experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Merchandise Management System (MMS) such as JDA, Blue Yonder, or equivalent system
- Category knowledge in Grocery/Fresh perishables
