West Park Healthcare Centre helps patients get their lives back by through the provision of specialized rehabilitation and complex continuing care services and a continuum of inpatient, outpatient and outreach care and treatment. West Park’s 27-acre site is being transformed into an integrated campus of care, including a new hospital and additional community based services focused on seniors and people living with disabilities.

With this transformation, West Park Healthcare Centre is growing and so is our Human Resources team. We are looking for a **Human Resources Clerk - Temporary Full Time (3 month contract)** to join us and make a real impact.

**Job Overview**:
The Human Resources Clerk is the first point of contact for the Human Resources Department. The position determines the immediate needs of the customer; provide assistance where practicable to the customer or Human Resources team members or refer them to the appropriate Human Resources personnel.

**Accountabilities**:

- Maintain reception area coverage during the Human Resources Department’s general office hours.
- Accountable and will serve as the primary contact for the transition to the new building, specifically for the Human Resources department.
- Provide support during the purge and shred activities, and ensure all employee files are boxed accordingly.
- General office duties including filing, photocopying, mail distribution, preparing job postings, typing memos, filling in key information to form letters (annual wage adjustment increases, benefit changes), scheduling meetings/interviews and applicable space for meetings, and ordering/maintaining office supplies in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Ensure current and relevant information is displayed and accessible to employees on the HUB and HR public folders
- Assist with events such annual Long Service recognition program, Applause program, and other employee recognition events as required.
- Maintain employee files in adherence with Records Management policy and procedure.
- Maintain an inventory of office supplies and order supplies as needed including verification of receipt of ordered items.
- In conjunction with the Talent Management, arranges advertising for external and internal job postings boards, pulls resumes from the resume database, and conducts criminal reference checks.
- Complete written HR employment verifications correspondence to employee and third parties as requested.
- Conduct the annual employee license/registration process as per the Centre’s policy and procedure, and provides the Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Nursing Executive and Health Professions Officer with an annual update.
- Onboard new hires including such as Kronos registration, completion of WP documents, tracking completion of e-learning requirements and PPHSA, criminal check, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma
- Administrative Assistant Certificate or Diploma preferred
- Human Resources Certificate from a recognized program
- 3 years office administration/reception experience preferably in a human resources department
- Intermediate keyboarding skills (40 wpm)
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service philosophy
- Ability to handle situations with tact, professionalism and discretion
- Ability to function independently and take direction
- Previous working experience in a Human Resources Department preferred
- Evidence of satisfactory attendance record
- Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the Centre’s core values and helps patients_ get their life back_
- Should be aware of conditions and measures that may affect the safety of patients, residents, students, employees, volunteers, physicians and visitors
