**Summary**
Reporting to the Director of the Public Engagement Department, the Youth Programs Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the Youth Programs (35 years old & younger).
The Youth Programs Officer will have to:
- Collaborate with the Director of Public Engagement to develop, consolidate, and maintain strategic alliances with other youth or youth-serving organizations, educational institutions, and any such related networks. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining communications with relevant stakeholders, and participating in various conferences, working groups, and committees.
- Collaborate with the communications and campaigns department and any other necessary external service providers to produce, distribute, and manage materials and resources (physical & virtual) for the Youth Programs and any other DPCC programs requiring a youth perspective.
- Lead any required departmental or inter-departmental committees pertaining to youth programming.
- Attend meetings of regional animation teams to ensure coordination, support, and communication with animators with respect to Youth Programs.
- Plan, coordinate and make presentations at appropriate provincial, regional and national level conferences, other events, and meetings regarding youth programs.
- Work in collaboration with the Director of Public Engagement to develop the annual program budget for Youth Programs and exercise budgetary oversight throughout the year.
- Recruit, support, and accompany/coordinate all volunteers and interns related to any of the Youth Programs.
- Carry out annual program planning, monitoring and evaluation of all Youth Programs.
- See to all other youth related tasks that might arise at the request of the director of Public Engagement.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, education, or the equivalent;
- Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken;
- Ability to write and revise texts;
- Ensure and revise translations;
- Proficiency in Spanish (Asset);
- Mastery of Microsoft Office suite, with advanced proficiency in PowerPoint;
- Proficiency in online engagement platforms (e.g., Zoom, Kahoot);
- Proficiency in Social Media platforms;
- Knowledge of a database software;
- Four years of relevant youth engagement experience;
- Relevant experience in youth program development;
- Work experience with volunteers;
- Good communicator with good listening skills;
- Available to travel in Canada and abroad;
- Available for occasional evening and weekend work.
**Working conditions**
- Entry salary depending on experience and the number of languages mastered and required by the position;
- 35-hours work week;
- Competitive working conditions according to the collective agreement.
