Equipment Coordinator

Our Equipment team is currently seeking an Equipment Coordinator. The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and planning the day to day utilization, transportation, and maintenance of Tomlinson’s heavy equipment.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Coordinates work for equipment operators
- Communicates with operations managers, supervisors, and foremen to fulfill their equipment needs
- Communicates with dispatch to ensure that company resources are being utilized to their full potential
- Collaborates with dispatch for movement of equipment
- Collaborates with the maintenance division for equipment repairs
- Assist dispatch with oversize permits and the escorting of oversized equipment
- Communicates with Foremen and Supervisors to fulfill equipment needs on site
- Assists accounting with generating monthly financial reports and data analysis
- Assists in the hiring process of equipment operators (union and non-union)
- Ensure all operators are provided with proper training; whether it is a new operator, or when an operator’s machine has been replaced.
- Collaborate with the trucking and dispatch group to help ensure that the appropriate number of trucks are on site

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Time is split between job sites and the office
- Available to answer calls on evenings and weekends occasionally

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Strong knowledge of the construction industry is required
- Strong organizations skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to make decisions and communicate effectively in a changing environment
- Supervisory experience is considered an asset
- Previous work experience with VisionLink and/or JDLink would be an asset
- Relevant experience with Excel would be an asset
- Previous work experience with SAP would be an asset
- Valid full G class driver’s license is required
