**NOW HIRING - Manager Sales**
**The Manager Sales is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth by delivering tailor-made products to customers. This role works closely with the Head of Sales & Distribution to develop and implement sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.**
**WORK HOURS**: Office hours (weekend and evenings as needed)
**LOCATION**: Vancouver, Richmond, or Victoria BC and as per the work-from-home policy
**TERM**: Full Time Regular
**DEPARTMENT**: Commercial

**Responsibilities and Expectations**
- Implement the sales & distribution strategy and translate market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape into tangible sales action plans for customers.
- Implement customer segmentation strategies and translate this into new market opportunities.
- Design and implement sales programs and work with both marketing and revenue management teams to maximize penetration of market segments and revenue generation.
- Utilize existing and create new sales management tools to manage pipeline and action with tailor-made offers to clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships; ensure retention of key customers, corporations and travel trade partners.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to continuously improve sales strategies and identify areas for growth.
- Understand budgets and prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team, providing coaching, training, and guidance to ensure high performance, productivity and achievement of goals and objectives. Set individual and team sales targets, monitor progress, and provide regular performance feedback to team members.
**Qualifications/Assets**
**IDEAL EXPERIENCE**
- Proven sales experience (5+ years), ideally with airline or related experience in travel and tourism.
- Proven track-record in sales, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
**EDUCATION**
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business or related fields.
**CRITICAL CAPABILITIES**
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team.
- Deep understanding of sales strategies and tools to measure performance
- Must be a self-starter with a keen attention to detail and deadlines, as well as ability to multi-task prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly assignments.
- Exceptional team management skills including but not limited to delegating, coaching, defining expectations prioritizing the team’s work, objectives and monitoring performance as required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster an atmosphere of teamwork, professionalism, and respect.
- Creativity to develop and implement changes that will improve efficiency and overall performance.
- Strategic “out of the box” thinker with a focus on sales and revenue creation.
