**Duties**:
- Research Design and Planning:_
- Develop and refine qualitative research methodologies and frameworks suitable for the study's objectives.
- Ensure research questions are clearly defined and that the design aligns with the overall goals of the project.
- Team Supervision and Development:_
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, providing guidance in qualitative data collection methods, analysis, and interpretation.
- Organize regular team meetings to monitor progress, discuss challenges, and ensure consistent adherence to research protocols.
- Data Collection Oversight:_
- Oversee the data collection processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Train team members on effective data collection techniques and the ethical considerations pertinent to the research.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation:_
- Lead the analysis of qualitative data using appropriate software and methodologies.
- Assist team members in synthesizing complex data into comprehensible findings.
- Dashboard Creation and Reporting:_
- Collaborate with data analysts to design and develop a big data dashboard that effectively communicates research findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure the dashboard is user-friendly and meets the informational needs of all stakeholders.
- Communication and Reporting:_
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that summarize research findings, methodologies, and implications.
- Communicate results to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and publications.
**Required Qualifications**:
Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., Leisure Studies, Tourism Management, Social Sciences, Statistics, Data Science).
- Proven experience in quantitative and qualitative research design and methodology.
- Experience in advising or mentoring students or junior researchers.
- Proficient in qualitative data analysis software (e.g., NVivo, SPSS).
- Experience with big data tools and dashboard development is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and software is an advantage.
