**ABOUT US**:
Schubert Packaging Automation Inc. (SPA) is currently seeking a highly motivated junior project manager to join our dynamic team in the Projects and Service department. Schubert is a company which designs and manufactures packaging machines and is a pioneer in the industry through the innovative and leading-edge technologies we develop.
The objective of the junior project manager role is to support and handle all project and after sales service activities from SPA side. Activities are coordinated within SPA, supported by Schubert Germany and planned together with the customer.

**POSITION**:
Junior Project Manager (new projects and service)

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work closely with project manager on project development from initiation to closure and ongoing service requests.
- Work together with the external customer as well as with our internal company representatives and service team in Germany to develop and design a service solution which meets the customer’s needs and expectations.
- Project Management, which includes but is not limited to:

- Prepare a schedule for each project to identify when each task will be

performed. Monitor this schedule and ensure project meets timeline
expectations.
- Regularly prepare progress reports and communicate with stakeholders.
- Organize (scheduling, documents) and attend FAT (factory acceptance tests).
- Organize installation, commissioning and SAT (site acceptance tests)

together with customer.
- Resolve technical, timing and other issues which may come up during the course of the project.
- Overseeing and monitoring the whole process of machine upgrades,

optimizations, and modifications:

- Define project scope together with customer
- Create detailed project quotation
- Create project plan
- On-site Management
- Supporting customers on technical questions.
- Some travel required within North America as well as to the head office

in Germany.
- Ability to handle multiple projects/service requests.
- Meet tight timelines and handle customer relations.
- Coordinate and support service technicians on planned service visits as

well as for short notice service requests.
- Build trust and relationship between customer and Schubert through

communication, competence and reliability.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Fluent in English
- German and French speaking skills considered an asset.
- Mechanical engineering degree or similar technical education in relevant field.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a project management role primarily.
- Experience in the machine packaging field considered an asset.
- Experience with machines is a must.
- Excellent people skills including conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including MS Project.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD an asset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
- Ability to manage project request independently, while still acting as a

team player.
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned tasks.
- Practical and proactive approach to problem solving.
- Resourceful and calm in a high pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Practical and proactive approach to problem solving.
- Flexibility - able to quickly adapt to new situations - and creativity - able to think “outside the box”.
- Ability to effectively handle escalations and time critical issues; meet goals despite unexpected setbacks, obstacles, or time constraints.
- Excellent ability to present complex technical information in a clear and

concise manner to a variety of audiences, including non-technical.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid work permit.

**LOCATION OF WORK**:
Mississauga, ON with travel to client sites across Canada as needed, predominantly within Ontario

**COMPENSATION**:
Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience including base
salary, bonus opportunity and a competitive benefits program.
