**This role will be operating out of our head office in Richmond, BC.**

**VALUE OF THIS ROLE & CORE DUTIES**

A Warehouse Associate is responsible for keeping our communities safe by inspecting and recharging fire extinguishers. This is an essential role to ensure our Fire Service Technicians in the field have the fire prevention equipment needed to mitigate fires. **This role matters.**

Under the direction of the Shop Lead, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible to learn & carry out the following:

- Hydrostatic testing/drying of low-pressure cylinders (up to 700 psi)
- Hydrostatic testing/drying of high-pressure cylinders (10,000 psi)
- Maintenance of hydro test devices, clean agent & CO2 pumps
- Refurbishing, hydro testing/drying, filling of Dry Chemical, CO2, clean agent extinguishers
- Dispose of extinguishers as required
- Documentation of all extinguishers & hoses coming in/out for servicing
- Shipping & receiving of hoses to be tested/finished to/from vendor
- Serve customers at the counter
- Receive/process payment from customers
- Forklift moves
- Facility Maintenance as required
- All other shop duties as required

**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE**
- Good mechanical ability
- Physically fit
- Repeatedly able to lift 50 lbs
- Squatting, bending, standing, twisting on a daily basis
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Fluent in English
- Able to work with mínimal supervision
- Forklift certification an asset
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma.
- Computer skills and familiarity with commonly used office programs.
- Experience with use of hand tools
- Good record keeping

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
