**OVERVIEW**: Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Specialized Finance Clerk will work with the finance team, management and employees to ensure all accounting and processing is completed with high degrees of accuracy, ensure issues are resolved quickly within the guidelines of the policy and legislation requirements. The Specialized Finance Clerk will be responsible for supporting the finance team with all day-to-day tasks.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITES**:

- Record Journal adjustments entries as needed monthly/annually.
- Compile data for funding program reporting.
- Monitor funding agreements and revenue payments.
- Set up AR monthly/quarterly payments.
- Assist with quarterly program budgets.
- Assist in the annual audit.
- Monthly Visa reconciliation.
- Assist team members by performing other duties within the finance department.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-secondary diploma/degree with a specialization in finance is preferred; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- 3-5 years work experience and strong knowledge of accounting is required.
- Experience using SAGE 300 accounting software would be considered an asset.
- Experience with CRA and banking websites.
- Strong proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel is considered a strong asset.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting practices is a requirement.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Knowledge of the Child and Family Services (CFS) sector and legislation an asset but not mandatory.
- Demonstrate knowledge and/or understanding of Indigenous perspectives, First Nations culture and traditional philosophies.
- Must provide a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector), Child Abuse Registry and Prior Contact Checks as a condition of employment.
- Successful applicant(s) will also be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to start date.
- Must a valid Manitoba driver’s license and a reliable vehicle with the ability to provide a clear drivers abstract.
