**Position Overview**:
We are currently looking for an energetic, innovative and results-driven Business Analyst to support the growing business at Deighton. As a Business Analyst, you will work in a customer-centric environment playing a key role in gathering and defining business needs, authoring, and reviewing detailed business and customer requirements, summarizing these requirements as User Stories. You will need to be Agile and have excellent communication skills to excel on this team.
- Support the Director of Project Execution to identify, assess and document both new and existing system requirements;
- Engage both internal and external clients to identify and document business requirements and to ensure that system development and implementations are meeting customer needs and business strategies;
- Collaborate with the product development teams and the product implementation teams in the development of internal training and awareness materials;
- Prepare and deliver test plans and documentation of expected test outcomes to the QA/QC team to ensure stable and accurate product deliverables;
- Develop and/or provide input into internal and external communications and user documentation;
- Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management;
- Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports and recommendations;
- Remain current on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems;

**Qualifications**:

- Analytical thinking - because you evaluate the effectiveness of processes and software systems, you must know how to assess the company’s current system capabilities and identify areas of improvement. Also, use this same knowledge to evaluate how new systems will satisfy requirements.
- Critical and creative thinking - evaluating software systems and suggesting changes, you will look at these systems from a big
- picture perspective to see all of the available This requires coming up with solutions that are different from how things have always been done and that are unique or innovative.
- Interpersonal skills - you will work closely with people at all levels of the organization. Since they collaborate with people from a wide range of backgrounds, strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
- Leadership skills - as the driving force behind analysis and change, you will use your leadership skills and persuasiveness to sell your ideas and encourage the company’s employees to embrace your suggestions and plans.
- A bachelor’s degree in software, business or related
- At least 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst; advanced understanding of processes and techniques
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills;
- Go-getter;
- Autonomous and self-managing;
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skill
- Highly adaptable to change and comfortable working in complex and fast-paced project environments;
- Strong collaboration, listening and facilitation skills
