Business Analyst

**BUSINESS ANALYST**

**REPORTS TO: President and VP of Operations**

**COMPANY BACKGROUND**:
North American Steel is a leading manufacturer of engineered storage systems with offices and manufacturing facilities located across Canada.

**SCOPE OF ROLE**:
The Business Analyst is responsible for improving the efficiencies within standard operating procedures found within. The scope of the role is working with the functional teams to understand pain points, document business requirements, align on the priorities with all the stakeholders, oversee and support implementations, and train and onboard new users.

**CERTIFICATIONS / QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in business or an equivalent.
- 3+ years' work experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent
- Strong working knowledge of ERP and CRM systems
- Understanding of accounting and financial processes including costing and inventory
- A proven track record of developing and implementing improvements to new and existing business processes
- Experience documenting functional / non-functional requirements.
- Knowledge of project management life cycle, processes, and practices.
- Experience managing small and large projects.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Clear and professional written and oral communication.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and eager to grow their career.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Microsoft Business Suite Products: Microsoft 365, SharePoint, etc.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Documenting business processes and identifying pain points or opportunities to make things more efficient.
- Troubleshoot issues, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues in the ERP system
- Lead helpdesk support efforts, making sure all users can perform their tasks within the ERP system
- Perform administration tasks, including user/group administration, running of reports
- Managing projects, including budgeting, planning and implementation
- Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements
- Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
- Provide requirements documents, technical specifications and end user documentation for new workflows and processes
- Controlling change management for systems releases
- Provide training to all company's employees on current business process and future updates/improvements
- Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems
- Design authorization processes within the organization by role, function, and responsibility.

**WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION**:

- Full Time: Monday to Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm ET
- Location: Hybrid Position; 3 days a week at Head Office (Whitby, ON); Travel to other office locations as required

**KNOWLEDGE AN ASSET**:

- Microsoft Certifications: Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, specifically Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in French or knowledge of French language

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
