**Overview**
**Duties**:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, measuring spices, and portioning proteins.
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the safe handling of food products.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling and food safety practices is essential.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in meal preparation.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the food service industry.

Pay: $16.55-$23.39 per hour
Expected hours: 50 - 60 per week
