Overview of the Role

Saputo Dairy Products Canada is seeking a passionate Key Account Representative to partner with the Retail Sales team in Saskatoon. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Key Account Representative is responsible for managing all aspects of sales for a defined customer base. The Key Account Representative achieves the targeted volume and profitability for the territory by creating business plans, developing both new and existing customers and executing marketing initiatives. In addition, you will support the Account Team in the analysis and coordination of sales, marketing, and supply activities, to profitably grow the business. You will connect the retail sales and retail account team with our Red Book (Go-To-Market) process and will be curious, self-motivated, willing to take on challenges, and recognize assignments as learning opportunities. In addition to analytical and administrative duties, you will have the opportunity to develop your career at Saputo.

Salary: $65,010 - $85,320

How you will make contributions that matter:

- Achieve the gross margin and volume targets as assigned
- Analyze and report on account performance, identifying challenges and opportunities
- Prepare and present business reviews to both customers and internal stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with Saputo Sales, Finance, Operations, and Distribution departments to maximize opportunities and address customer issues
- Develop and grow the Saputo book of business through new business acquisition, new product listings, and execution of promotional activity
- Evaluate and initiate opportunities for continuous improvement throughout the territory
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of the competitive landscape, including products, promotions, sales and innovation
- Develop and implement a schedule for customer contact, capitalizing on effective merchandising and display opportunities during these calls
- Participate in company and customer functions, as required
- Analyze sales data and trends, and identify opportunities to convert to sales successes
- Product forecasting and measuring promotional effectiveness
- Co-ordinate and monitor price changes and ensure accuracy of published price plans
- Assist in developing and executing Point of Sales materials and local consumer promotions
- Support Key Account Team on administration, sales related issues, procedures and tasks, customer portal management and preparation of presentations
- Other duties and projects as required

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

- A degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field
- Two or more years of sales experience, preferably in the retail market
- Proficiency with MS Office, advanced Excel skills, and ability to learn new software quickly
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with solid financial and accounting competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of self-motivation and initiative
- Strong team orientation, dependable, and a proven ability to work well with others
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a multi-tasking, high priority environment
- Inquisitive mindset and desire to learn new skills
