Our Fishmongers provide an excellent, informative and positive experience for our customers while efficiently maintaining store operations. We provide excellent training and look for team members with a love of food and passion to learn more and grow.

**Duties**
- Prepare and display a wide range of fresh fish and seafood products for sale.
- Ensure all products meet food safety standards and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions regarding preparation or cooking methods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, including proper food handling practices.
- Package fish and seafood products for customers, ensuring freshness and quality are preserved.
- Learning knife skills and fish butchery
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Stay informed about seasonal fish availability and environmental issues our organization supports.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly food preparation in a commercial kitchen, is required.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations related to seafood handling.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Experience as a butcher or similar skills is a plus.
- Catering experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for seafood and knowledge of various types of fish is highly desirable.
- Operating the POS system, processing payments and cash management.
- Stocking and merchandising all products.
- Store opening and closing duties.
- Able to work weekends and holidays.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily duties.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
