**What the job is all about**:
Our Retail Fishmongers provide excellent customer service and great advice on seafood selection and how to prepare everything at home. The goal for each team member is to provide an informative positive experience for our customers and maintain efficient store operations.

**Responsibilities and duties include**:

- Ensuring our products are displayed and stored according to the appropriate temperature and conditions for fish, seafood and grocery merchandise
- Learning to filet and handle fish responsibly within Hooked parameters
- Working within strict sanitation parameters in managing a perishable inventory
- Learning the ecology, biology and issues surrounding both wild and responsibly farmed fish
- Participating in the creation and maintenance of a clean and healthy work environment, abiding to a strong discipline of health, safety and hygiene
- Operating the POS system and processing payments
- Properly stocking and merchandising all products within the store and storage areas
- A love of food, fish, shellfish and cooking
- Warm and professional customer service skills with a strong attention to detail
- FOH/BOH restaurant experience and/or retail experience
- Interest in learning Hooked cooking techniques and fisheries ecology
- Be able to lift boxes up to 50lbs.
- Weekend availability
- Desire to learn
- Wants to work in the food industry with a good life/work balance
