Our Calgary Drilling team is looking for a Junior Billing Specialist. The Junior Billing Specialist will be completing final invoicing including review of billings packages, submitting invoices through Open Invoice and Cortex or other customer invoicing platforms for our customers. They will also be creating final invoicing package for customers and for internal backup specifically for the Rentals and Drill Waste business units.

The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, where team members work closely together in a fast-paced, data-driven setting. This is a full-time, office-based position that requires a strong focus on innovation, problem-solving, and effective communication across departments.

**A Day in The Life**

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Learn full cycle for Drill Waste Invoicing which includes review of approved packages ensuring all back up is present and correct. Coding related accounts payable and processing both AP and AR invoices in a timely manner
- Complete invoicing for the Rentals business unit once received from operations
- Ensure key internal approvals are intact while keeping invoicing up to date
- Submitting for Open Invoice and Cortex (and other platform) systems for our customers
- Assist Billing Administrator in keeping customer and internal invoice documents up to date
- Assist in streamlining EDI customer submissions for the DS Business Units
- Assist with keeping documentation and SOP’s updated as new customers are added or customer requirements change

**Skills, Experience, & Qualifications**
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast pace environment
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Diploma or degree would be an asset with a preference to an accounting focus
- Experience with Open Invoice and D365 would be an asset
- Experience in the drilling fluids or energy industry is preferred, but not essential
- Excellent MS Office Excel, Word and Access skills
- Strong organizational skills, ability to deal with difficult situation in a professional and productive manner
- Work well in a team environment
- Interact well and help support rest of the billings team addition, the position requires a passion for process simplification and improvement, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
