**Position Summary**

We are looking for a Manager, Health and Safety (14-month contract) based out of our Montreal corporate office with occasional travel (20%) to Boutiques and the Distribution Center. This role will be the Guarantor of Health & Safety compliance, Quality (including food safety) and the challenger of all functions to maintain consumer confidence and preference for Nespresso Canada.

**A day in the life of a Manager, Health & Safety**

As a Manager, Health & Safety you will be responsible of:
Workplace Health & Safety:

- Support the TQM Manager to Define, implement, support, enforce and promote Nespresso Canada’s workplace health and safety policy and ZERO ACCIDENT vision.
- Act as key buisness partner to our Retail Network, Head office and operations to drive safety culture, training and awareness though program development, activities and coaching.
- Ensure that the Leading Indicator Self-Assessment (LISA) health and safety tool is used.
- Support the TQM Manager in the implementation of Incident & Crisis Management and prevention.
- Implement and promote ISO 45001 standards for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHS) for Nespresso Canada’s boutiques and head office.
- Create a healthy and safe working environment where it is possible to systematically identify and manage risks by complying with legislation, and to sustainably reduce the number of health and safety accidents/incidents.
- Manage incident risks, the administration of first aid, and accidents, and communicate about them.
- Oversee health and safety audits.
- Promote improved health and hygiene in the workplace and propose measures to increase the well-being of employees.

Quality systems (policies, procedures and standards):

- Lead the internal audit program for boutiques, distribution centres, warehouses, call centre, repair centre, and follow through on the implementation of action plans/recommendations
- Drive the preparation of quality related communications, training supports, procedures, etc.
- Lead yearly traceability exercise
- Develop and monitor quality & safety reports and KPIs for continuous improvement (Dashboard, Monthly Operating Review) and ensure proper communication of the results throughout the whole company
- Manage Quality projects
- Oversee Quality training
- Promote and maintain ISO 9001 standards for quality management systems.

Budget Management:

- Support the management of the Quality and SSH budgets,
- Allocate costs in the defined structures,
- Oversee preparation of Dynamic Forecasts and propose actions to the TQM Manager to identify cost savings.

**What will make you successful?**
- 5-8 years’ experience in health and safety (preferably in a retail environment)
- 3-5 years’ experience in food safety and Quality Management
- Minimum 5 years of people management experience combined with a successful track record of leading and developing a small team.
- Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated capability to lead projects and change management
- Demonstrated management capability including ability to lead, coach, engage and influence.
- Capacity to coach and drive safety culture across the organization.
