**Overall Job Function**: To provide continuous world-class service for all our Customers always. To complete Repair Orders detailing the Customer’s concerns in writing and ensure excellent detail for Technicians to repair the concerns in a timely fashion. To close Repair Orders within 12 hours of the work being completed and delivered. Control shop flow and monitor shop efficiency work with apprentice techs to be a mentor as they grow.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure customers are greeted and communicated within the drive-thru in a prompt manner '
- Follow St. Marys Buick written Service Process and complete a walk around every vehicle with every customer.
- Identify damage to the vehicle in advance and bring it to the customer’s attention. Have the Customer sign for it.
- Identify the potential area of additional sales opportunities with the customers in the drive-thru.
- Make service appointments, utilizing the appropriate appointment process.
- Review past history and required service recommendations with the customers.
- Generate and follow through on work orders.
- Close work orders promptly.
- Write up service estimates.
- Provide Service recommendations based on factory-required maintenance.
- Follow up on Estimates during slow times, to obtain future business.
- Perform vehicle walk-around with customers at the time of vehicle pick-up.
- Review CSI Guidelines with all Customers and secure a positive response that they will take the time to complete a survey
- Arrange for customer Transportation. i.e., the shuttle drops off and pick up or service loaner.
- Arrange dispatch to ensure written work orders are completed at their promised finish times.
- The service advisor position will work closely with the Service and Parts Manager to help with any miscellaneous additional tasks.
- Communicate with customers throughout the day providing them with updates on the status of the progress of their vehicles.
- Check daily shop loading to ensure efficient use of bays
- Assign work to the technicians based on their abilities and efficiency.
- Ensure all technicians are at their most efficient by monitoring reports and clocked versus punched hours.
- Be a source of knowledge and support for Apprentice technicians and help them with the development.
- In busy times and times of absence be prepared to assist in the shop due to your technician’s experience
- Any other duties as requested by management.
- Assists in the nature and extent of the dealership’s parts and accessories marketing.
- Adheres to monthly parts and accessories sales objectives.
- Assists in promotion and point of sale aids.
- Fills Parts requests for ROs.
- Fields all customer requests for Parts
- Contacts SPO Parts Customers to bring them back in
- Fills in for Parts Advisor during breaks lunches and days off.
- Obtains approval of all requisitions for material and expenses not resold on the repair order or sales order.
- Adheres to parts department policies and procedures for inventory control and pricing.
- Participates in regular department meetings.
- Knows, understands and applies the dealership selling service system. (Quorum and RIM)
- Reviews and understands parts price changes, availability, and frequency of demand.
- Co-ordinates campaign recall or special-order parts with Service Advisors thru Service Management.
