As a Director of a portfolio of CLS programs this position is accountable for overseeing the provision of support that protects individuals’ rights and enables and nurtures their self-determination and personal growth. This position ensures that a quality of life is pursued for the individual that is based on sound, collaborative planning, and that communication relative to this goal is maintained.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer this position inspires and supervises a team of Leaders responsible for direct support across a portfolio of programs within the Lower Mainland.

**Specific Accountabilities**:
**Oversight Of Provision of Direct Supports**:

- Leads and manages the execution of short and long-term plans for a portfolio of programs, while ensuring compliance, fiscal accountability, continuous improvement, and a high industry.
- Contributes to the organization’s annual planning process as it relates to a portfolio of programs including keeping up to date on any new initiatives and models of support that are in keeping with the vision of CLS and discuss the value of these with the CLS Management team.
- Manages, mentors and coaches program Leaders as they seek out ways to maximize the integration of individuals into their respective communities through effective planning and development of services specifically tailored to meet their needs.
- Works collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure supported individuals’ needs and requirements are identified and addressed accordingly, including active involvement and oversight of any changes or transitions, reviewing and overseeing risk assessments, and providing support as required about critical incidents.
- Ensures compliance to licensing requirements, the accrediting body, and other regulatory bodies, and ensures follow up is completed following licensing inspections and
- Assists in the development and implementation of relevant training for staff, stakeholders, or external partners.

**People Management**
- Role model the values of CLS through the development of effective working relationships with Leaders, their teams, and individuals’ families with an emphasis on Person Centered Active
- Provides strong leadership to ensure that CLS values, mission and strategic plan are understood and adhered to and that Leaders have a dynamic, encouraging, flexible, mindful, and person
- centred approach.
- Plans, hires, trains, and conducts appropriate performance management of Leaders in line with the relevant legal and employment standards guidelines.
- Coaches, mentors, and assists Leaders in their management of employees, team building and employee/family relations efforts.
- In support of staff development, delivers core or optional training sessions based on operational needs and as identified within the CLS training plan.

**Stakeholder Relationships**
- Develops and nurtures positive working relationships with supported individuals and
- Develops relationships and works with a variety of government ministries, licensing bodies, health care and other professionals in the provision of services.
- Participates in the procurement of new business and additional resources including proposal writing and contract review.
- Participates in external groups, forums, committees, and conduct presentations to stakeholders as required.

**Administration**
- Interprets and monitors adherence to and variances from budgets set for individual services and identify related problems and possible remedies/options.
- Works in conjunction with the Operations team to develop and report on activities/outputs and outcomes to a variety of stakeholders including Senior Management, Board of Directors and
- Supports Leaders in all their accountability requirements (including adherence to and oversight of schedules and financial accountabilities) and input/outputs through ShareVision.
- Approves expenditures consistent with spending authority and is accountable for timely completion of reports and audit compliance reviews.
