**Position Information**:
The Lead, Professional Practice is responsible for providing leadership for various professional classifications, ensuring delivery of discipline-specific patient care is consistent with professional practice standards and regulatory requirements, while collaborating with applicable stakeholders to ensure that that service delivery is safe, high quality, and efficient.

Key areas of responsibility include supporting the Director of Cardiac Imaging in work related to strategic and operational planning, resource allocation, utilization monitoring, quality initiatives, education and research, and corporate liabilities including legal, labour relations, human resource related matters. Act as the main resource to programs/departments/units regarding practice standards. This position provides coordination of daily operational requirements, under the direction of the Director.

Within their own team, the Lead, Professional Practice applies learning and accountability consistent with a just culture, providing staff with written instruction on safety precautions where appropriate, ensuring that staff adhere to standards of safe work and patient care, and closing the loop on staff and patient safety issues to ensure continuous improvement.

**What you will bring**:

- Completion of a University Degree, preferably in the Health field;
- Registered with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist of Ontario;
- Allied Health Designation/Certification;
- Minimum five (5) years of Medical Imaging experience;
- Experience working in a Leadership capacity;
- Superior knowledge and skill related to Medical Imaging, best practices and college regulatory requirements;
- Demonstrated ability to identify and develop quality initiatives to support best practice care;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams in both the in-patient and out-patient environments;
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and support the Medical Imaging teams to ensure standardized, best practice patient care;
- Knowledge of hospital and departmental polices and procedures;
- Expert user of MS Office, including WORD, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Experience in EPIC, PACS and clinical software used in Cardiac Imaging;
- Demonstrated experience in report writing;
- Demonstrated experience implementing and evaluating business plans;
- Excellent communication skills including professional demeanor and approach;
- Excellent skills in oral and written communication;
- Group facilitation and adult education skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and to maintain strict confidentiality when appropriate;
- Ability to deal with difficult situations and crisis;
- Ability to implement, facilitate and lead change;
- Active participation in work related initiatives.

**You will stand out with**:

- Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
- Master's degree in Health Administration.
