**What you’ll do**

- In collaboration with Professional Practice Leader & Professional Practice Coordinator plan, implement and evaluate educational and clinical programs to meet the learning needs of respiratory therapy staff including orientation, clinical teaching and inservice. Develop and review instructional materials. Maintain program records.
- Participate in the performance and skill assessment of staff from an education perspective. Develop skill assessment programs. Certify staff in specialized skills.
- Act as a clinical role model and resource for staff and division in the area of expertise. Participate in educational and clinical audits. Participate in Quality Improvement projects as a leader, facilitator or team member.
- Provide education to learners, respiratory therapists, medical staff, nursing and other health professionals on respiratory therapy related clinical practice, equipment, policies and procedures.
- Participate in the development, communication and evaluation of standards, procedures and protocols. Participate in selected Respiratory research activities. Facilitate changes in Respiratory practice.

**What you bring**
- Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
- Three (3) years recent related experience in a Pediatric/Neonatal tertiary care facility including leadership activities or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Successful completion of Canadian Board of Respiratory Care Examinations.
- Eligible for registration (RRT) with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
- Eligible for registration with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT)
- Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for patient population

You will also have the ability to:

- Communicate and present ideas effectively both orally and in writing.
- Organize workload, establishes priorities, delegate assignments and function as a resource person.
- Supervise effectively and promote interpersonal relationships.
- Manage conflict situations and facilitate resolution and change.
- Deal with frequently changing situations and unexpected events.
- Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and other related reports.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
- Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).

**Job Type**:Regular, Part-Time (0.60fte)

**Wage: $38.11 to $47.58 per hour**

**Location: 4500 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC, V6H 2N9**
