Reporting to the Director, Design & Construction, the Manager, Line Operations will play a pivotal role in the division and will be responsible for delivering business unit’s goals, objectives, and strategies by providing effective leadership and direction to staff in the Distribution Operations Department. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership in people management and project management skills, as well as a demonstrated commitment to ensuring the safety, reliability, and productivity of our distribution operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain a strong safety culture within the organization, focusing on productivity, customer satisfaction, responsiveness, and quality.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safety-first culture within the department.
- Provide leadership to the operations teams across Elexicon Energy’s work centers, driving and nurturing a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
- Develop and lead high-performing teams, which consists of supervisors, and trades staff, including apprentices and students.
- Oversee the delivery of capital/maintenance projects, ensuring on time and on-budget delivery.
- Implements productivity improvement and measures.
- Streamline resource allocation across various service territories to maximize resource utilization.
- Demonstrate customer centric approach to meet customer needs and expectations.
- Manage the department’s budget and attendance effectively.
- Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPI), strategies and policies and monitors the continuous improvement of the team.
- Promote individual job performance and accountability to inspire higher levels of performance excellence and raise the bar on acceptable levels of performance.
- Establishes a two-way working relationship with all levels within the Department to solicit their views on conditions and potential changes affecting their work, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Other responsibilities, as needed.
- Provide leadership during emergencies and extreme weather.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), computer (PC) literacy.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Thorough knowledge of utility regulations (22/04), standards, and safety requirements.
- Proven track record of successful project management.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical theory.
- Ability to build strong relationships with peers and team members.
- Knowledge of business administration to develop and monitor the budget and to provide costing estimates and specifications on a variety of projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng) preferred.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of related experience in the energy sector (Design, Planning and/or Construction).
- 3+ years of direct supervisory/management experience in leading line operations in a unionized work environment.
- Thorough knowledge of utility regulations (22/04), standards, and safety requirements.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
