Front Desk Manager

**Job description**
Reporting to the General Manager, the Front Desk Manager is responsible for ensuring prompt, attentive, outstanding guest service to all of our guests and assisting in overseeing the day to day operations in the Front Office to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. Ultimately, the Front Desk Manager is responsible that all the Front Office Standards are being accomplished.
**Summary of Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Front Office Manager’s responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service to each guest, making each guest feel welcome in our hotel.
- Promote Wyndham Rewards to our guests and follow these standards.
- Able to deal calmly and professionally with the public and employees in any and all crisis situations
- Day to day supervision and the smooth operation of the Front Office
- Operate according to the policies, procedures, quality standards and services established by the management team
- Ensure efficient operation of the hotel by supervising and supporting the guest services, food and beverage, maintenance and house keeping department.
- Handling of guests’ requests, comments & complaints, ensuring guest’s needs are met and exceeded, make improvements accordingly.
- Stay current with industry/competitive trends and making recommendations for improvement
- Know and follow policies & health and safety standards for the hotel, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff members & guests.
- All other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:
- Minimum 2 years experience employed in the hospitality/hotel industry
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
- A strong team player, able to work within deadlines and motivate a team
- A good problem solver, who is confident, energetic, flexible and proactive
- Computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, SynXis is an asset
- Willing to work all shifts and weekends, if needed
- Results oriented, positive, service driven with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
- A self-starter who adapts to change with ease and is able to handle many tasks simultaneously
- Hospitality Degree or Diploma an asset
- Bilingual is an asset
- Knowledge of safety regulations including GHS, First Aid
