As part of the Integrated Communications Team, the Public Relations Specialist will proactively identify opportunities to tell Joe Fresh brand stories across Canada. This individual will work to manage and maintain the public image and reputation of Joe Fresh, and will assist in creating, implementing and overseeing public relations strategies that effectively communicate Joe Fresh’s values, while enhancing the organizations visibility and credibility.

What You’ll Do
- Develop proactive external communications tactics, including press releases, pitches, and more.
- Work with paid partners to manage and execute broadcast segments.
- Support and execute seasonal influencer programs, including content planning and approvals and gifting.
- Own programs end-to-end, including timelines, communications strategies and execution for initiatives like media and influencer events, broadcast integrations, and more.
- Identify, develop and pitch opportunities to proactively tell Joe Fresh stories through organic and paid media and influencer engagements.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, influencers, agencies and industry partners.
- Maintain an editorial calendar to ensure internal and external messages/pitches are distributed in a timely manner.
- Manage all reactive press inquiries including merchandise loan requests, product image requests, spokesperson inquiries and more.
- Monitor media and influencer coverage, public sentiment and industry trends to gauge the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Monitor national and regional industry trends and keep a pulse on competitor activity and partnerships.

What You’ll Need
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum five (5) years as a public relations professional. Experience in fashion or lifestyle PR is a bonus.
- Must be organized and practice effective time management.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Crisis management skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Existing relationships with fashion and lifestyle media and a strong understanding of the media and influencer landscape and trends in Canada.
- Experience working with influencers and managing influencer programs end-to-end.
- A collaborative spirit and excellent interpersonal skills; team player willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
