**The Opportunity**
We are seeking a qualified CPA with 2 to 5 years of post-designation experience who is eager to join a dynamic family office environment. This is an opportunity to contribute to a complex group of businesses, work on a broad range of financial tasks, and make an impact within a close-knit team. If you are passionate about developing innovative processes and mentoring junior staff, this role is perfect for you.
Working directly with the CFO, you will play a key role in overseeing internal reporting, financial statement preparation and tax planning for a portfolio of companies and ensuring the smooth operation of the finance department. Your efforts will help us achieve our goal of becoming a more efficient, tech-savvy organization.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the financial reporting, working paper files, financial statements, and tax returns for assigned companies.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and implement automation and AI-driven solutions.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior staff.
- Collaborate with the CFO to manage cash flow, acquisitions and disposals, and draft tax returns.
- Ensure the timely and accurate filing of tax returns (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5).
- Prepare quarterly reports and documents for board meetings.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses and support executive decision-making.
**What We’re Looking For**
- **CPA Designation**: With 2-5 years of post-designation experience, preferably from a public practice firm.
- **Broad Expertise**: Experience with a variety of companies, preferably in family-owned businesses, and a strong understanding of tax preparation, financial reporting, and process optimization.
- **Tech-Savvy**: Strong Excel skills, and a passion for using technology to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- **Problem Solver**: Someone who loves a challenge, takes initiative, and brings solutions to the table.
- **Team Player**: Enjoys working in a collaborative, friendly environment with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
**What We Offer**
