The Office Manager oversees the operations of the Waterloo Office and works collaboratively with others to align the Karis Disability Services administrative culture with organizational values. This includes promoting a positive space for employees and visitors, providing excellent customer service to all interacting with the office team, organizing and consistent office procedures, promoting safety, providing solution-focused timely communication, and effective management of physical spaces, supplies, and equipment. They will support the Waterloo Office through a variety of administrative tasks, working in cooperation with the assigned department/work team. Through their team, the Office Manager will ensure that the office’s requests for administrative support are met. The Office Manager participates in the leadership of the culture at the Waterloo Office by ensuring that the Values, Vision, and Mission of the organization are modelled in the design and function of office space, creating an office experience that reflects the supports of the organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and lead Waterloo Office and organizational staff meetings.
- Oversee the Social Committee and facilitate meetings to plan and facilitate several social activities for employees at the Waterloo Office (e.g., summer social, milestone celebrations, etc.).
- Lead the Excellence in Action employee recognition program
- Lead the Environmental Stewardship Committee
- Manage office spaces, supplies, admin support requests, hospitality requests and video conference support through Admin team
- Orientation of Waterloo office employees thorough introductions of new staff, orientation meetings or events to connect new staff and orient them to office protocols and culture.
- Develop the processes supporting administrative spaces engaged with the local community.
- Develop and lead partnerships in the community that use the Waterloo Office in a manner that supports our strategic goals.
- Develop and manage long-term tenant or short-term rental processes for the office space.
- Ensure efficient operations of the Waterloo Office and oversee general office administration.
- Work (collaboratively with district and community offices where applicable) to develop and implement “best practice” office procedures and protocols consistent with the Values, Vision and Mission of Karis Disability Services.
- Oversee scheduling, record keeping, and maintenance of Waterloo Office vehicles.
- Action Health and Safety related concerns and requests from the Health & Safety committee at the Waterloo Office in a timely and thorough manner, creating a safe work environment.
- Support and direct how office and administrative spaces are engaged with people receiving services through employment, volunteerism, and feedback.
- Provide supervisory support to administrative teams through direction, coaching, and development.
- Manage the Waterloo Office Admin budget.

**Requirements**:

- 3 years of previous work experience in an office administration position
- College Diploma, preferably in Business Administration
- Ability to manage change, develop and lead others
- Demonstrated skill in positive, professional communication to create a positive office culture
- Experience with property management considered an asset
