**Position Description**
Reporting to the Director of Binesi Waziswon, the **Clinical Manager** shall deliver culturally safe, trauma-informed service coordination and supervision for Binesi Waziswon Live-In Treatment Services. This position operates within a team, collaborating to ensure a holistic, wraparound bi-cultural model is offered to participants. The Clinical Manager will directly supervise the bi-cultural team of counsellors and care coordinators, overseeing the wellness/care planning, intake, and discharge, to ensure safe and intensive support is provided to youth struggling with complex mental health needs.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Program Operations and Ongoing Development**
Ø Responsible for overseeing operations of the bi-cultural treatment team, including oversight of intake and program eligibility, care planning and progress, discharge plans and overall clinical supervision to staff
Ø Ensure a bi-cultural model of care is offered to participants throughout all stages of the program, including intake and discharge planning
Ø Take part in a rotating on-call supervision schedule
Ø Coordination with external service providers for In-house services (ex. Psychiatry)
**Clinical Services (direct and indirect)**
Ø Manage the intake/discharge process
Ø Manage the program’s treatment and activity scheduling
Ø Ensure bi-cultural best practices are embedded into all aspects of program and service delivery
Ø Monitor service quality to clients and make changes as necessary
Ø Provide clinical supervision to staff
Ø Support directly with complex clinical cases
**Staffing and Quality Assurance**
Ø Recruitment and selection of staff
Ø Performance support, monitoring and evaluation of staff
Ø Identify areas for training and professional development within the team and oneself
Ø Ensure and support staff training in areas of clinical need
Ø Develop Staff assignment and distribution
Ø Monitor staff compliance with data entry to ensure accurate and timely reporting to respective ministries, leadership, and communities
**Community Liaison**
Ø Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the unique needs of Northern Ontario's community members, while also addressing the broader challenges of child and youth mental health throughout the region
Ø Develop positive and good working relationships with community leaders
Ø relevant professionals and parallel agencies to facilitate wraparound service to our clients before, during and after program participation
**Qualifications**:
Ø Experience providing clinical MHA service and/or supervising a clinical team
Ø Clinical experience in counselling children, youth and families in the field of mental health and addictions
Ø Ability to manage staff, maintain positive working relationships, and provide sound decision-making and leadership
Ø Strong commitment to values and ethics in both personal and professional manners
Ø Understand and believe in a holistic strengths-based approach to supporting youth and their families.
Ø Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Ø Excellent skills in the following areas: computer, organization, networking,
Ø interpersonal, presentation and communication (written & oral).
Ø Ability to respond to crisis and post-crisis situations.
Ø Knowledge of the Anishinaabe culture and experience in working in First Nation communities is an asset.
**Education**:
Ø Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology or a related field. Social Service Worker diploma with experience will be considered.
Ø 2+ years of experience working in the mental health sector.
Ø Eligible for membership in your professional organization, where relevant.
**Position Requirements**:
Ø Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
Ø Current satisfactory criminal reference check with vulnerable sector search.
