We are seeking a skilled and experienced German-trained butcher to join our team for our upcoming butchery opening predicted to be in the fall. As a vital member of our establishment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our meat products meet the highest standards. Your expertise in traditional German butchery techniques will be instrumental in delivering exceptional cuts and products such as authentic German sausages to our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Meat Preparation**: Expertly prepare various cuts of meat including bison, and pork using traditional German butchery techniques.
- **Quality Control**: Ensure the freshness, quality, and consistency of all meat products in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure optimal stock availability.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all butchery equipment, including knives, saws, grinders, and slicers.
- **Compliance**: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a hygienic working environment and compliance with regulations.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the butchery and exceptional customer experience.

**Requirements**:

- **German Butchery Training**: Certified training in traditional German butchery techniques is essential.
- **Experience**: Proven experience working as a butcher, preferably in a German-style butcher shop or similar environment.
- **Knowledge**: In-depth knowledge of different cuts of meat, animal anatomy, and meat preparation methods.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail and precision to consistently deliver high-quality cuts of meat.
- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- **Flexibility**: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required in a retail environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
