Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Purchasing Agent will be responsible for the acquisition of materials, replacement parts and other items necessary for production and facilities.

**Core Duties and Responsibilities**
- Has an understanding of inventory clerk related duties
- Creates purchase orders, coordinates with vendors for outside requests.
- Monitors and communicates stock level requirements.
- Provides routine administrative support.
- Follows department policies and procedures.
- Maintain adequate supplies of all items required for production per ERP planning parameters. Review ERP action messages for adequacy based on sales trend, supplier performance, pending product overlaps.
- Maintain non-production supplies as required, office supplies, furniture, hardware, software, services, translations, brochures, catalogs, etc.
- Support/vend into Quality Assurance requirements as necessary under ISO13485 protocols.
- Assist with coordination of Repair and Maintenance Vendors, to support service requests.
- Approve A/P discrepancies daily. No A/P discrepancy should be open for longer than 3 days. If there is an issue and the request can’t be closed, add buyer notes explaining the hold-up.
- Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
- Arrange transportation of good and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Receive and contacts vendors to find out status of placed orders.
- Contact vendors with discrepancies pertaining to quantity and quality.
- Interface with all departments and resolves problems and issues as necessary and in an efficient and timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining the company’s inventory tracking system
- Provide clear communication to both internal and external associates and customers.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
