With 140 successful years in the industry, Krug is well recognized as a leader in the design & manufacture of high quality business and healthcare furniture. We are seeking a full-time Junior Planner to join our team at our Seating Division in Kitchener.

**RESPONSIBILITIES Fabric ordering**:

- Orders fabric daily as specified by Fabrics Buyer and CSR in order to meet factory dates.
- Ensure order confirmation is received and filed.
- Utilize MRP and yardage saving techniques optimize fabrics yardage and reduce costs.
- Expedite and follow-up on fabric deliveries to meet factory dates.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to update for fabric availability / ETA / delays on incoming fabric.
- Assist Fabric Buyer for the disposition of obsolete material and slow-movers.
- Assist Fabric Buyer on DMR/FPR/RIN and other tasks with our Quality procedures.
- Document and detail weekly shortage report and assist for root-cause analysis.
- Optimize in-bound freight costs and supplier’s lead time based on volume and yardage.

**RESPONSIBILITIES non-BOM, VMI, MRO parts**:

- Orders non-BOM, VMI, MRO parts based on daily requests.
- Responsible to order and maintain stock level for these commodities : Glue, Wood, Metal, Glass, Packaging
- Manage and release Kanban parts as per requested by production.
- Maintain a log of all previously ordered parts and suppliers by commodity.
- Focus on sourcing and cost optimization for existing and new parts (RFQ, quality, LT)
- Optimize stock level to keep the adequate on-hand based on LT and factory date.
- Maintain MRP information as required (new parts, ROP, SS, MOQ).

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- CPP/CSCP or working towards
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet)
- Principals Of Buying (PMAC)
- MRPII training (in house or community college)
- PDmain and RR6 training (in house or other)
- 1-2 years purchasing experience
- excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- excellent analytical skills
- excellent attention to detail
