Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, Opex and to the Regional Controller, North American Copper Operations, the Financial Analyst is responsible for activities surrounding the accounting and financial reporting of operational costs for Glencore North American Copper operations.**More specifically, you will**:

- Actively participate in the month-end process through the following activities: - Analyze financial and operational data to produce monthly financial reports related to operational costs;
- Support journal entries, financial documentation and cost-related account reconciliation. - Participate in the Department’s business improvement processes, and in projects to update cost management systems. - Manage operating costs and follow up with cost centre owners on budget variances. - Coordinate the planning and budgeting process related to operating costs and ensure alignment with business strategy. - Ensure that compliance controls are properly applied and that processes and standards are complied with. - Work closely with other team members and departments to achieve departmental objectives.**Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration in accounting or finance combined with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position - Hold a CPA designation or in the process of obtaining one (an asset) - Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment in a public or international business context (an asset);
- Knowledge of SAP software (an asset) - Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and to adapt and evolve in a dynamic environment.**Languages**: Bilingual (English and French)**What We Offer**:
