**KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIES**
**The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all-inclusive**:
**Primary**
- Manage the Corporate Security In-Box and respond to queries
- Administer security clearance process and the Dual ID/Access Card system
- Ensure security-related databases and manuals are kept up to date, accurate and comply with relevant processes and guidelines
- Maintain components of DCC’s Corporate Security Program. (e.g. library of security posters, Corporate Security intranet pages)
- Support DCC’s role in the ISP process (e.g. registration, visit clearance requests)
- Process and audit data, information and transactions in the Human Resources Information System and the Online Industrial Security Services system
- Maintain records and generate regular reports (e.g. security clearance upgrades and renewals)

**Other**
- Assist the Coordinator, Corporate Security, with verification processes
- Update DCC security policy and standards, as directed
- Develop guidelines and train back-up personnel
- Maintain list of approved security officers
- Support the update of site security plans, as required
- Other duties as assigned

**SKILLS**
**General and Specific Knowledge**

- Online Industrial Security Services system

**Formal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience**
- **Minimum**:college diploma in administration or related field, with two years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent

**Abilities**
- Use applicable computer software and operating systems
- Be bilingual - English and French (mandatory)

**DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP**
- Provide functional advice and guidance to employees

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Typical office environment with occasional travel

To begin a career with Defence Construction Canada (DCC), you must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident of Canada. As a condition of employment with DCC, a minimum reliability security status clearance is required and some roles may require secret security status clearance.
- DCC is responsible for the Personnel Security Clearance process_. Typically to be eligible for a "Reliability" clearance, you must have five years of verifiable background information and to be eligible for a "Secret" clearance, you must have 10 years of verifiable background information. The process usually involves reference inquiries, verification of qualifications, criminal records checks, and credit checks (as required) and may require fingerprints.
