About the Role

The Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Security Manager to oversee the broader corporate security program, including the enhancement of policies and procedures, personnel security, security event management, training, testing and awareness.

This role will be performed from our Ottawa or Toronto office following a hybrid model approach. This is a full-time permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages and improves CDIC's Corporate Security Programs, liaising with operational security risk owners across the organization.
  • Identifies and manages corporate security risks.
  • Plans and manages the day-to-day operations of CDIC's corporate security programs, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develops, improves and maintains the corporate security policies and procedures.
  • Supports CDIC's business continuity program.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with CDIC staff and management as a recognized security authority.

Requirements

  • Specialized and expert knowledge, and significant experience in corporate security management and controls, frameworks and methodologies of risk management and incident management.
  • Strong written and communication skills to communicate with all levels across the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience as a people leader in corporate security, providing advice, guidance, direction and assessing performance.
  • Experience in creating and delivering training and awareness campaigns.
