**General Description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design & Develop new polymer formulation
- Design, plan and independently carry out innovative experimental programs.
- Coordinate with 3rd party vendors for polymer sourcing, customizing the formulations, and film manufacturing.
- Keep abreast of relevant competitive IP literature in order to direct own research and to develop a strategically aligned intellectual property portfolio in the field of polymer science and write appropriate invention reports.

**Required Job Skills**:

- Excellent understanding of polymer chemistry
- Hand-On experience in film extrusion is preferred
- Must be able to independently operate film extrusion equipment
- Must have deep knowledge of film processing equipments
- Good communication skills Verbal & Written

**Desired Background**
- PhD in Polymer Science/Plastics/Chemistry preferred
- Experience in polymer film R&D is huge plus
- Experience in coating chemistry is desirable
- Experience in biodegradable polymers desirable

**Work Status**: Full Time

**Location**: Halifax Nova Scotia

**Salary**: As per the experience

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
