**Role and Responsibilities**

CAE's immersive environment department is a highly technological department that is at the heart of the experience of pilot’s training, both in civil aviation or defense and security. Imagine, a team in charge of complete immersion in the environment: from display solutions, through mixed reality, content creation and visual rendering, generation of sound effects and simulator movements, as well as development artificial intelligence of other "players" in military simulation scenarios. That's who we are.

Come and work within our multidisciplinary team whose specialties vary from image generator platform, optical design and high-end mixed reality systems.

Being a Game engine Backend Developer is:

- To see the final product of your work in a concrete manner
- To use the latest and greatest hardware in a PC rig of your dreams (GPU/CPU, etc.)
- To create the HW solution used on all our visual systems
- To get the opportunity to work at the lower level of the Unreal engine and Windows (kernel, driver, framework)

**The role we are offering you**:

- Work in hybrid mode to validate and integrate different technologies
- Use C++ in a Windows/DevOps environment using Visual Studio
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAE’s software stack and software development processes
- Learn and grow in the highly technological world of visual systems and flight simulators
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software or Computer engineering (or equivalent); New graduates welcome
- Experience in Object Oriented development in C++ under a Windows environment
- Knowledge of the Unreal Engine
- Knowledge of low level (system programming) under Windows
- Experience in debugging/assembly of PC an asset
- Bilingualism (spoken/written) French and English
