Overview of the Role

The Deduction Representative will be responsible for managing one or more retail accounts at the regional and national level.

In addition, the representative will support and assist the Team Leader in the day-to-day operations of the department. He/she will be responsible for collections, completing claims and reconciling customer deductions within established deadlines.

Salary range from $46 135 to $60580

**Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.**

How you will make contributions that matter:

- Assist the Team Leader with all departmental deduction and collection reconciliation processes
- Provide support to the accounts receivable team as needed
- Responsible for an assigned portfolio of accounts receivable and all day-to-day responsibilities to perform necessary follow-ups on customer claims, invoices, and deductions
- Clearly document all relevant accounts receivable information
- Ensure the analysis and reconciliation of accounts within the assigned portfolio
- Identify problematic cases and resolve or propose an action plan to the team leader
- Work in collaboration with the sales, finance, customer service and warehouse departments to ensure proper management of accounts receivable
- Complete various weekly/monthly reports
- Promote excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
- Participate in the achievement of departmental objectives and continuous improvement
- All other related tasks

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

- College degree in finance or other relevant field or equivalent experience
- 5 years experience in a similar position
- High level of accuracy, organizational skills, analytical and decision-making abilities, self-motivation and initiative
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Energetic with a strong work ethic
- Results oriented and team player
- Knowledge of credit, collection, and deduction practices
- Knowledge of AS/400, EDI systems and customer portals an asset
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and the Office suite
