**124 On Queen Hotel & Spa**. is currently recruiting an experienced **Accounting Manager** to join our Accounting Team. The Accounting Manager position will be based out of our corporate offices at 342 Townline Rd (Niagara on the Lake). Our hotel is located in the heart of Niagara on the Lake offering luxurious accommodations, a world class spa and a critically acclaimed restaurant including Starbucks. We have a completely renovated wedding and event space at The Gate House and our hotel and spa has recently expanded with additional rooms, spa services and underground parking.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage a small team while working with them to ensure completion of department responsibilities.
- Full-cycle accounting, ensuring all month-end and year-end financial reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner for the various operating, real estate and investment companies within our corporate group.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances and provide recommendations to improve profitability and sustainability.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Initiate and reconcile daily bank activity including credit card and cash deposits, wire, EFT, PAD transactions, bill payments etc.
- Reconcile General Ledger accounts, review discrepancies and problematic accounts and guide staff on appropriate follow-up or corrective action.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice management and collections.
- Daily sales reporting and reconciliation across multiple departments.
- Control, track and reconcile inventories across all departments.
- Liaise with Directors and Department Managers and support them with their accounting, budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis needs.
- Reconciliation and submission of various monthly, quarterly, and annual government remittances (e.g., HST, Corporate Tax, MAT Remittances).
- Process hourly and salary payroll including producing year-end tax forms, completing PIER, WSIB and EHT annual reconciliations.
- Maintain an up-to-date, complete, and systematic filing system to support accounting, financial records, and payroll records to meet applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and standards.
- Liaise with external auditors and government agencies for financial audits and reporting requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Other accounting duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Minimum 1-3 years of Payroll Administration
- Experienced with Microsoft Excel and Office software.
- Degree/Diploma in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent work experience
- Hospitality experience is a definite asset.
- Strong accounting technical knowledge including financial statement preparation.
- Able to deliver accurate results and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop Software
- Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
