Burlington, Canada Halton Women s Place Full time

**Position**: Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist

**Status**: Full Time Contract (1 year with possibility of extension)

**Reports To**: Director, Philanthropy & Community Engagement

**Hours of Work**: Core Schedule Monday to Friday between 8:30am - 4:30pm with flexibility to work some evenings/weekends, as needed to attend events.

**Role Summary**

This role is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of Marketing and Social Media support services to the Development Team of Halton Women’s Place, to ensure that the agency achieves its long-term and short-term goals.

**Fund Development Goals**:

- The Development Department’s vision is to advance the profile of HWP to donors, prospects, and other stakeholders to inspire ongoing commitment which will ensure sufficient resources to meet the organization’s current and future needs.
- The fostering of a donor-centered attitude and culture of philanthropy and donor relationship management throughout the organization to maximize fund development opportunities.
- Participation in signature, partnership and community events including the Annual Gala and Auction, Golf Tournament and Hope in Every Step walkathon and community and partnership events.

**Key Responsibilities**

***Social Media**:

- Create a comprehensive communication strategic plan for the year including all social
- Strategize, create, schedule, and manage all social media pages, including Facebook,
- Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter pages for HWP.
- Monitor and participate in all conversations that take place on our social media pages.
- Manages all digital marketing initiatives alongside our marketing company.

**Marketing**:

- Create a comprehensive annual marketing plan for the organization.
- Create all-in-house and third-party posters and invitations-as needed.
- Work with our marketing company in regard to our annual marketing plan.
- Coordinate with marketing company on annual report.
- Create all sponsorship packages and other marketing materials for all in-house events and, if needed, large third-party events.
- Create and coordinate all online paid ads for events and campaigns.
- Participate on staff DEI committee.
- Create all strategy and creative for all HWP campaigns including but not limited to, Woman Abuse Prevention Month, Holiday Giving and Mother's Day.
- Create informational brochures as needed.

**General duties**:
1. Attending and representing HWP at various community events.

2. Other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- ** **Ability and Experience with analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Leveraging analytics and competitive analysis to help create new campaigns.
- Ensuring ongoing communication with managers and other department leads
- Supporting the optimization of marketing channels and ROI
- Ability to work well with a team and as an individual contributor.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Results-oriented with the ability to identify forward-thinking techniques to achieve revenue goals.
- Ability to learn new technologies or strategies quickly.

**Qualifications**
- Education in marketing, communications, or related field
- 3 plus years of experience in digital marketing or related field
- Website maintenance
- Proficient in marketing automation tools
- Excellent analytical skills and experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in ADOBE Publisher, JavaScript, Canva
